About

As I move through my day in my home city of Brooklyn, I can’t help but notice possibility in objects that others pass over as trash. In 2020, when the world appeared to stand still, I left my decades-long career in the fashion industry and committed to making art using found objects.

Currently working with plastic bottles, through heating, piercing and drilling, they can be reshaped into organic forms that mimic nature. Shimmery sea creatures seemed a natural fit and speaks to the plastic pollution currently destroying our oceans.  Each piece is foraged, cut + colored with inks , and embellished with vintage glass beads from my archives.

I never truly never know how a piece is going to curl and flutter when heated, leaving the finished piece slightly unknown with the organic process having a life of its own.

Future goals are to travel to other cities to collect, compare, and create found object art using we leave behind.

I am open to collaborations, commissions and connections, don't hesitate to reach out!
